Welcome to Josie Park’s personal webpage!

I am a quantitative modeller and climate risk specialist with a PhD in Applied Mathematics and experience leading the development of physical and transition climate risk models within banking. At NatWest Group, I lead climate risk modelling across Corporate, Mortgage and Commercial Real Estate portfolios, working closely with Credit Risk teams to translate climate risk into property-level impacts and inputs for probability of default and loss given default modelling.

I combine expertise in mathematical modelling, climate science and scientific computing with experience in model governance, technical leadership and stakeholder engagement. My research background is in ocean modelling, numerical methods and Earth system dynamics, with a strong foundation in statistical modelling and the analysis of complex scientific datasets.

I am interested in applying quantitative expertise and scientific understanding of the Earth system to climate and nature analytics that inform sustainable investment decisions.
